Once upon a time, God placed a country on a young girl’s heart. Then, when she was least expecting it, He took her there to live for three months. Throw in her big sister, dozens of adorable kids, being stretched miles beyond their comfort zones, and a whole lot of prayer, and that’s the best way to describe their summer.

We were born two years apart and making up for that lost time ever since. We’ve globetrotted together: Canada, Europe, Guatemala, Asia. We’ve gone parasailing, bungii jumping, elephant riding, mountain climbing, and prayer walking side by side.

It’s a beautiful thing, sisterhood. And God. And adventures in foreign places. And children piled in our laps and stealing our hearts. And finding out how much we still have to learn and how far we are from being missionaries.

Here’s to a summer defined by Lamentations 2:19:

Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out your heart like water before the face of the LORD: lift up your hands toward him for the life of your young children, that faint for hunger in the top of every street.

Hello Ervina! (what a unique and lovely name you have)

I found your blog through Bri’s blog and am so glad I did! It looks like you are a gal of adventure! I look forward to following along and catching up. 🙂 I am always so excited to find a fellow Ellerslie sister’s little space on the internet. I am going to Ellerslie this fall, October 8 to be exact. I’d love for you to follow along on my journey there and how the Lord is providing and remaining faithful in everything. 🙂

    Much love and blessings,
    Hannah Rose
